The Metzler Family

On Sunday afternoon I had the pleasure of working with a lovely family, the Metzlers. This family was just the sweetest and so much fun to photograph! Emma, who is almost 4, told me right away that she loves to have her photo taken. I always love hearing that, especially from young kids! She was a wonderful poser and flashed her sweet smile at me plenty of times. Aletta, who just turned 1, was oh so cute and a pretty good poser herself. I loved the way she babbled to herself and giggled at her squeaky shoes. It was a great way to spend a piece of my afternoon and I can't wait to work with this family again at Christmas time. Until then, here's a little peak at the Metzler family.

Annabel

Yesterday I got to take some first birthday photos of a little girlie named Annabel. She was a little bit shy, but super sweet and very happy. We had lots of fun with chairs, balloons, and most importantly cake. I love doing cake smashes and I think that Annabel did too, judging by all of the icing that coated her face. It was a really fun session! Here's a little peek at Miss Annabel.

Madison

I really love doing newborn photos! It's unpredictable and time consuming and really challenging, but so much fun. I love how each teeny-tiny baby has their own distinct personality and gives me a run for my money. I love the little hands and feet and every little detail that goes along with new babies. I just love babies. So it was definitely a pleasure for me to work with ten-day-old Madison last night. She wasn't very sleepy, but with a bit of persistance from her mommy, her daddy, and me, we ended up with some really lovely photos of her. Her daddy is a pro golfer and mommy loves golf too, so we even managed to incorporate that love of golf into the photos. I think it's great when clients bring along things that are meaningful to them because it makes the photos that much more special. It was a fun session and I am looking forward to working with this family again. Stay tuned in the next month for some more photos of this little girlie and her family. Until then, meet Madison.

Mini Sessions Part 2

When I woke up yesterday morning I was almost scared to look out the window. Because the rain on Saturday caused me to cancel some mini sesssions, I needed to have a great Sunday and I was a little afraid that that wouldn't happen. Fortunately for me, it was a lovely day for photos. A bit chilly, but nicely overcast and not too windy. I had three more groups come for their sessions and they all went great. I can't even tell you how cute and well behaved all of the children have been this weekend. They've all been a dream to photograph. I still have a few more minis to do, so you might want to check back for those next weekend. But for now, as promised, here is the sneak peek for mini sessions part 2.

Mini Sessions Part 1

A few months ago I decided that I wanted to offer fall mini sessions - short sessions that are affordable and give you the chance to get some fresh photos of your family or maybe some shots of your kids in their Halloween costumes. Well, today was the day for those sessions. Fortunately for me, it was a lovely morning for photos. I had four wonderful sessions and a lot of fun. Sadly, the weather from the morning could not last and the rain started pouring down in the afternoon, resulting in the rescheduling of six other sessions. So while I cannot give you a preview of all of my minis, here is the sneak peek of the mini sessions part 1. Part 2 will follow after my sessions tomorrow and part 3 will be posted after next weekend. Check out these cuties and be sure to come back to see the rest as they are posted!

Krista & Benny

Krista and Benny are getting married in late April of next year and I am fortunate enough to be photographing their wedding. We have been discussing for a few months when the best time to do engagement photos would be and we finally settled on the idea of doing some autumn shots. This past Saturday turned out to be the perfect choice, with a nice blend of sun and clouds and a beautiful fall breeze. It was great to work with Krista and Benny and get to know them a bit. I cannot wait for their wedding - I know it is going to be just lovely. Congratulations, Krista and Benny! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

The Somers Family

Meet the Somers family: Terrance, Cindy, and Lucas. I met Cindy about 4 years ago through my best friend, Melissa. I was living in Halifax at that time so I didn't get to know her very well, but I knew she must be awesome if she was such a great friend of Melissa's. Not long after that all three of us were pregnant with our first babies, all due within three months. Three days after Ella was born we moved back to New Brunswick and I got to meet Hailey, Melissa's baby, and Lucas, Cindy's baby, shortly after. I have had the pleasure of getting to know Cindy much better over the years and it has been really fun to watch all three of the babies grow and change. So when Cindy asked me to take some family photos for her, I was very happy to do it. We went out on Saturday morning and had a quick session in the crisp but beautiful fall day. We had to cut things a bit short, but I hope that Cindy and her family will be happy with the few shots that we did get. Here's their sneak peek!

Melissa, Justin & Leah

Melissa, Justin and Leah have been trying to get out for a family session with me for quite some time now. For one reason or another we have had to reschedule this session over and over again. Lucky for me, Melissa has been a fantastic client to have and it always happy and accommodating. We finally got out to take some fall photos on Sunday and I think it was worth the wait. Melissa - here's your long awaited sneak peek. Hope you enjoy!

Sweet Baby Jack

On Sunday afternoon I got to spend some time with a sweet little baby named Jack, his mommy and daddy, and his grandparents. Jack was one month old exactly on Sunday, making him the oldest newborn that I have ever photographed. He was not loving the naked, sleepy baby photos, but he sure did know how to pose for the camera nonetheless. I think he knows how beautiful his blue eyes are and just wanted to show them off for the camera. Here's Jack's sneak peek. Hope you enjoy!

Cutie Pie Austin

I love it when I have return clients with young kids. It's always so much fun to see how quickly they have grown and changed. I did Austin's photos back when he was just 4 months old, so I was of course very happy when he mom asked me to take some more photos of him now that he is 8 months old. He is just as cute as he was then, but he has grown a lot! He is one of the easiest babies I have ever had the pleasure of photographing and I am loving how his photos are coming out. Here's a peek at Mr. Austin.

Carter Family

On Saturday morning I woke up to a dark, dreary, rainy day. I had to cancel my two morning sessions, but decided to hope against all hope that the sun would come out and it would turn into a beautiful day for the afternoon session. Sure enough, the rain slowly stopped and the sun broke through the clouds, so off I went to Fundy park for a beautiful fall afternoon session with the Carter family. This family was an absolute pleasure to work with and the two boys, Connor and Gavin, were just too cute for words. We walked around finding different areas for photos and just enjoying the lovely fall day. Here's a little peek at this sweet family. I hope you enjoy, Carter family!
