Heather & Brent | Moncton Area Wedding Photographer

When I arrived at Heather's home on Saturday morning she was incredibly relaxed. She was calm and collected and didn't have a care in the world. As her matron of honor ran around trying to tie up loose ends and figure out details, Heather smiled and laughed and told her to relax. I was stunned. This bride-to-be was totally together, only a few short hours from the moment she would marry Brent. When I asked her how she could be so relaxed, her answer was simple: she knew she was marrying the right person. After years of waiting for the perfect man to come into her life, he was there and they were getting married. The little details didn't matter, the dark clouds and rain wasn't dampening her day - she was getting everything she needed when she walked into her church and married the love of her life.
It turns out that Heather was right to be calm. Not only did she get to marry her new husband, but the entire day went perfectly without a single glitch. It was a day full of family, friends, and many laughs and I was happy to be a part of it.
I'm just beginning to work on the photos, but I wanted to post at least a couple to hold over the bride and groom. I'm hoping to post more very soon. Until then, Heather and Brent, I hope you enjoy your tiny sneak peek!

The Benyoussefs | Moncton Area Family Photorapher

Last night I went out to do some photos for a wonderful family, the Benyoussefs. They have never had any family photos done, so I was excited at the chance to help capture some great memories for them. The two girls, Amira and Sophia, are absolutely adorable with their big brown eyes and beautiful smiles. Amira talked my ear off all night and kept me smiling and laughing throughout the session. It was a really great time and just another example of why I love doing what I do. Here's a little sneak peek for the Benyoussefs.

Michelle & Vince | Moncton Area Engagement Photographer

Michelle has been friends with my sister since first grade, so I have known her for a long time. She's always been a sweet and quiet girl who I have always liked, so of course I was happy to agree to do her wedding photos next summer. I met up with her and her fiance, Vince, a couple of nights ago to give them a trial run at being in front of the camera and they did great. We had a fantastic session and now I'm a little disappointed that I have to wait a whole other year to go to their wedding. Michelle and Vince - I hope you enjoy your sneak peek! I can't wait to see how your wedding day unfolds!

Prom Night | Moncton Area Grad Photographer

I've known Celia for as long as I have been with my husband - almost 13 years. She has always been incredibly funny and smart and {at the risk of sounding corny} she has really grown into the most lovely, hard working, determined, confident, caring young lady. She graduates from Caledonia this week and moves onto Dalhousie University in the fall. Last night was her prom night and I was really happy to have the opportunity to help capture a few prom memories for her and some of her friends. Congratulations to you, Celia, and to all of the other grads of 2011. Thanks so much for letting me be a small part of your prom night.

Kahlin | Moncton Area Grad Photographer

On Friday night I had the pleasure of doing a quick grad session with a lovely young lady named Kahlin. She even brought along her adorable dog, Lou, to join in on the fun. They were both great to work with and I cannot wait to see Kahlin and her friends tonight for some prom photos (please don't rain, please don't rain!). Here's a little peek at a couple of Kahlin's grad photos.

Gavin & Connor | Moncton Area Children's Photographer

On Thursday evening I went out with a couple of boys who I always have lots of fun with, Gavin and Connor. Gavin is 18 months old now and WOW has he ever learned to run fast! It was so much fun chasing these two adorable brothers around and seeing how they'd changed since our last session. Here's a little peek at Gavin and his big brother, Connor.

Lindsay & Mark | Moncton Area Engagement Photographer

I must have looked out the window a thousand times yesterday, hoping, praying, begging that the dark clouds would go away and it would not rain. I had already had to reschedule my engagement session with Lindsay and Mark once due to rain and I didn't want to have to do it again. All day the skies stayed dark. After supper I loaded my gear and headed to Moncton, hoping there would be enough light for great photos. As I drove, the clouds lightened up and the skies got brighter. I could even see some lovely blue sky off in the distance. By the time I made my way to Moncton it was looking like it might be a lovely night for photos - and it was!
I met up with Lindsay and Mark and we had a great session. These two were so much fun! You can tell how in love they are as soon as you see them together - it's obvious in the way that they joke and play with each other, the sweet little glances that they throw each other, and the casual yet comforting way they hold hands when they walk.
Lindsay and Mark - you were a delight to work with and I can't wait to be a part of your wedding. I know it's going to be absolutely lovely and so much fun! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

My Little Owie | Moncton Area Family Photographer

It's hard to believe that my newphew, Owen, is 9 months old already. He never stops moving, gets into everything, and has the absolutely most mischevious smile to boot. I love that he scruches up his entire face and snorts when he laughs - it's just the cutest thing! I can't wait until August for his birthday photos and cake smash. I know he's going to make it very interesting! Until then, here's my 9-month-old Owie.

Pricing Changes

I am so happy with the direction that my photography has been going since I started out on this journey. I have received an incredible amount of support and have had the opportunity to work with some amazing clients of all ages. I love being able to capture memories for people and am honored that you trust me to do so.

One thing that I always try to keep in mind for you, my clients, is keeping my photography services at a reasonable rate. I want to be accessible, yet I still have to keep in mind the many costs of running this business. People often ask me what my fees entail - whether you are paying for the hour or two I spend taking your photos or if there is more. I want you to know what your money is paying for when you book a session with me. On an average session I will spend anywhere between one and three hours with you, actually taking photos. I then spend quality time with your images, choosing the absolute best ones to edit, carefully retouching and finishing each one, blogging sneak peeks, uploading galleries, answering e-mails, and finally, placing and packaging orders. I also have equipment and a website to maintain, I purchase props and backgrounds for you to use during our sessions, and then there is also the actual cost of ordering all of your products. So when you go out with a session with me, please rest assured that your money is being invested in a lot more than the hour or two that we spend together. I do all of these things to capture memories for you that will last forever.

I have also recently decided that it is time for me to change print labs. I have found a new lab that I am very happy with. This switch will allow me to offer you much better quality prints along with many more new and exciting products. I am very excited to make this move and I know that you will be happy with the change as well.

Taking all of this into consideration, my pricing will be changing effective July 1st, 2011. If you already have a session booked for July or beyond or if you book a date before July 1st (any date between now and December 15th, 2011), you will receive my current pricing. All bookings taken on July 1st and beyond will be at my new rates. I will also be requiring a deposit with all photo bookings at that time. The deposit will be due within 7 days of booking to hold your date and will be transferrable should we need to reschedule for any reason.

I'm so thankful for all of your continued support and am looking forward to all of the great sessions to come this year. I can't wait to capture some great memories for you!

Emmalin | Moncton Area Baby Photographer

Last night I went out and met the Carsons to do Miss Emmalin's 6 month photos. I knew it would be a fun session and was I ever right! Emmalin loved playing in the cool grass and exploring the flowers. Even after 2 hours of shooting she was just as happy as when we started. Back when I did her newborn photos I called her a photographer's dream and it turns out that hasn't changed one bit. I always love working with this family and I think the shots even get a little better every time. Here's a little peek for Emmalin and her mommy and daddy.

Caleb | Moncton Area Child Photographer

Caleb's photos didn't exactly go as planned. We had hoped for a beautiful, warm, sunny June day so we could go to the park and let Caleb play as I took his first birthday photos. That doesn't sound like too much to ask for June, right? Well this June seems to be determined to be cold, wet, and rainy every single day. Saturday, the day of Caleb's photos, was one of those days. We moved things inside and although it wasn't exactly what we planned, I think the photos still came out super cute. Here's a little peek for Caleb and his family.
