Summer

Yesterday morning I had a shoot with the adorable Summer. You may recognize her from some photos that I did early last month when her baby sister, Cydney, was born. Summer is turning two and in typical two-year-old fashion, she did not want to have her photo taken. With some strategic placing of toys and a couple of games of peek-a-boo, we were still able to get some great shots of her. Here is a little sneak peek of the lovely Miss Summer.

My Little Turkey

For those of you who may not know, I have two little animals at my house. One is a monkey and one is a turkey. My monkey, also known as Ella, RARELY allows me to take her photo and is often seen running away from my camera. My little turkey, Lily, on the other hand, is still too little to run from the camera. I take full advantage of that right now and enjoy it while I can. She turned nine months old on the 20th (wow!), so I thought I should do a little shoot to document the event. I've seen this cheerios shot done before and I was super anxious to try it out myself. Even though Lily isn't quite eating cheerios yet, I thought she was at the perfect age to do it. Lucky for me, she didn't even attempt to put one in her mouth. I know I am seriously biased, but isn't she a cute little turkey?

Grad Shoot

On Friday night I had a really fun shoot with Lydia, who is graduating next month. She is just the sweetest girl and we had a lot of fun walking (and driving) around and trying out some different locations. I've only had the chance to work on a few of her shots, but I cannot wait to get back to the rest! Until then, here is a little sneak peek for Lydia.

Baby Austin

The other night I had the pleasure of working with 4-month-old baby Austin. He had the cutest, crazy hair and I absolutely loved his chubby little cheeks. Here's a little peek at baby Austin.

Baby Hudson

Remember on Sunday when I told you to stay tuned for another couple of shots of baby Hudson? Well, here he is! His mom brought him over for some 10-month shots the other night and she also brought along some of her own great props. Check them out!
How cute are these jeans-look diapers? They even have faux stitching and a little lable!

Baby Bump Session

On Saturday evening I had a maternity session with the nicest couple, Tammy and Craig. Tammy has the absolute cutest baby bump and it was so much fun to photograph! There's just something about a baby belly that looks so great in photos. I can't wait to meet the baby when he or she is born and take some more photos. Family of Six

On Friday evening I had a quick shoot with a wonderful family of six, the MacDougalls. Everyone was incredibly cooperative, even the baby, and we ended up with some really fantastic family shots. This family was so easy to shoot and really a pleasure to work with. Check out their sneak peek and stay tuned next week for more photos of sweet baby Hudson.

On Tuesday I had the pleasure of doing two shoots in one. One for three sisters who wanted a late surprise gift for their mom for Mother's Day and one for a sweet and very funny little girl named Leah (and her bear). It was cold, dark and windy, as most of my shoots seem to be these days, so we worked quickly and the girls did a lot of putting on and taking off jackets. Nonetheless, it was a lot of fun. I'm still in the process of getting shots edited, but wanted to put up a little peek to hold them over :)

Jacob

Meet Jacob. If he looks familiar, that is because he is my first return client. I had the pleasure of doing a shoot for his family last fall and I got to take his photos again last night in celebration of his fourth birthday. He played a bit shy with me at first, but came around quickly and gave me lots of smiles. He was full of laughs, easy to photograph, and really funny. Here's a quick sneak peek of Jacob.

Quick Family Shoot

On Tuesday evening I had a quick (and fun!) shoot with the Thomas family. We had beautiful weather all day long, but when the time came for our shoot it got cold and started to rain on us. We had to move quickly, but we came out with some great family shots. Here's a little sneak peek of sweet Allison and Alex, and their mom and dad, Michelle and Rob.

Four Brothers

On Sunday evening I had a shoot with the sweetest four brothers, aged 10, 8, 3, and 18 months. It was so much fun to photograph them and I loved how different each of their personalities are. I had to do a bit of chasing for some shots of Marshall, the cutest little toddler, but I also heard a lot of "take my picture!" from Jack, who is 3 years old. That was a welcomed change for me since my own almost-3-year-old runs from the camera whenever I try to take her photo. I loved how the two older boys, Coby and Brendan, posed themselves so well and always had a sweet smile for the camera. The whole shoot was all just a lot of fun and I had a really great time taking all of their photos. Meet Coby, Brendan, Jackson, and Marshall.
