The Black family was so much fun to work with. Hailey has grown a lot since I last saw her, so it was great to watch her crawl around and explore. Joseph had plenty of smiles for me and kept me guessing as he ran around having fun. I love that I can capture kids having fun and playing. It's a great job. Here's a little peek at the Black family's session.

The Steeves Family | Moncton Area Family Photographer
Melissa is my very best friend in the world. She and I have been friends since the seventh grade. She started dated her now-husband, Kevin, in high school just after I started dating Shawn. We have grown up together, been through everything together, and went from being fourteen year olds dreaming of getting married and having kids to standing with each other at our weddings and being pregnant with our kids at the same time - both times. Now our kids are growing up together as best friends. It's really pretty awesome. She's the greatest friend I could ask for and of course I love her family too. So when the time comes for her family photos, I am happy to do it. This afternoon we did a few quick shots for Hailey's fourth birthday - here's a little look.

The Shaddicks | Moncton Area Family Photographer
A couple of months ago I did a maternity session with the Shaddick family. This week I was lucky enough to get to meet their new baby, Jack, and take some more photos for them. Jack is absolute newborn perfection and slept so peacefully throughout most of the session, waking quietly only a couple of times to let me see his beautiful eyes. His big sister, Elizabeth, was so proud of him. I could just tell that she's going to be a great sister and take good care of him as he grows. It was a really fun session full of ridiculous amounts of cuteness. Here's a sneak peek at the Shaddick family.

The Pugh Family | Moncton Area Family Photographer
As a busy mom of two girls, I cannot image how busy I would be with four boys. I got a little glimpse into that life on Sunday when I went to the Pugh home to do some family photos. These boys are all extremely cute, sweet, and full of energy. I had a blast watching them run, play, and tackle each other. They kept me laughing the whole session. Oh, and did I mention that the Pughs have the perfect yard for photos? I left there dreaming of a day when I might have a yard as beautiful as theirs that could double as an outdoor studio. Here's a sneak peek for the Pugh family.

Bev & Adam | Moncton Area Engagement Photographer
On Sunday morning I went out on an engagement session with Bev and Adam. It was a beautiful, crisp fall morning and the old barn where we met was just the perfect setting for photos. It was great to get to know them a bit and see how their love for each other poured out for the camera. I can't wait to see what their wedding day will hold. Until then, here's a peek at Bev and Adam - oh, and let's not forget the adorable Raven too!

Best Bump | Moncton Area Maternity Photographer
I've said it before and I'm sure I'll keep saying it again and again - I love baby bumps! I also love the warm, yummy evening light, so what could be better than a maternity session just before sunset? Not much! Kristin and Chris are expecting their very first baby in just a few weeks and are so very excited to meet him. Here's a little peek at baby Best while he's still in mama's belly. Be sure to check back in a few weeks to see his newborn photos. I, myself, can't wait for that!

Ben | Moncton Area Children's Photographer
Meet sweetie pie Ben. This little guy really couldn't be any cuter. He loved his unique little two-year-old personality and I couldn't help but laugh every time that he put his hand up and yelled "NO!" at me and my camera. He may not have loved having his photo taken, but the camera sure loves him. Here's a little peek at the adorable Ben.
Amy & Mark | Moncton AreaWedding Photographer
On Saturday afternoon I packed up my gear and somewhat nervously headed to Amherst for a wedding. I was not familiar with Amherst and I had never even met my bride and groom, so my nerves were a little more on edge than usual. Shawn reassured me, as he always does, that everything would be great and he was right.
Amy and Mark are such a sweet and quiet couple. Amy's vibrant smile immediately put me at ease when I arrived at her hotel where the girls were getting ready. The room was filled with joy and excitement and Amy stayed absolutely calm throughout it all. Her two adorable daughters were there getting ready with her, excited to get to the ceremony and get the day underway. At the ceremony, Amy's son walked her down the aisle as her daughters watched on from the front. The entire day was beautiful and calm and perfect. Amy and Mark - thank you for inviting me to be a part of your day. It was a pleasure working with you both!

Ella & Lily | Moncton Area Children's Photographer
When I began my journey into the world of dSLRs, I never drempt of being a photographer. I had a one-year-old baby and wanted to take better photos of her. I wanted to document her life and have some great photos for her scrapbook. I began reading like crazy on photography forums and spending many hours practicing with my new camera. Before I knew it I was addicted. Even still, I didn't realize that I wanted to be a photographer. Looking back now, I wonder how it wasn't always obvious to me that this is what I would do. I have always carried a camera with me, documented everything around me, and admired so many photographer's work. How did I never consider the possibility of doing it myself? I'm not sure how I got here, but I am so glad I did.
The only downfall that has come along with being a photographer is, ironically, that I don't take as many photos of my own kids as I used to. I'm much busier than I used to be and my cameras now aren't quite as portable as my tiny point and shoot was four years ago. Trust me, I still take plenty of photos of my girls, but I don't go out and do shoots with them like I do with other families. I've decided that I need to do more of that, so I took them out a couple of weeks ago to capture Ella's four year photos and Lily's two year photos. And let me tell you that it is much more frustrating for me to do a session with my own kids than with any other kids in the world. But with some persistence and a lot of help from my husband, I managed to freeze a little bit of who my girls are now. Here are a few favorites of my own two sweet girlies. Oh, and let's not forget the other two very important family members - Bun (aka Silly Sally Flower Bunny Bun) and Bun Bun.
